Be Kind. Make a Difference

About Kind Canada Généreux

Formed by a small group of like-minded individuals, Kind Canada Généreux (KCG) is a national not-for-profit organization that promotes and encourages all Canadians to help create a pervasive culture of kindness from coast-to-coast-to-coast.

Helping Canada become an even kinder country.

Our efforts are intended to engage and inspire Canadians to purposefully include kindness in their daily lives, support charitable causes and enhance the well-being of others.

We believe that kindness can make Canada an even more caring, generous and vibrant country. We know that kindness can transform lives and is effective in improving mental health and well-being. We are committed to being a strong national voice for kindness, and to working hand-in-hand with others to bring the power of kindness to homes, communities, schools and workplaces across Canada.

Where it All Began

In Ottawa, eight years ago Kindness Week was launched by Rabbi Dr. Reuven P. Bulka. With the help of United Way Centraide Ottawa, the community eagerly embraced this initiative. From this experience, we learned that the opportunities for kindness are almost endless.

We quickly realized that opening the door to kindness is a gift that everyone can share and enjoy. With the support of Ferguslea Properties and hundreds of community volunteers and participants, Kindness Week has become an Ottawa institution.

Having seen firsthand the impact that kindness makes in one community, we were inspired to take kindness across Canada in ways that encourage a kindness culture to help define our great country.

We welcome everyone to join us and believe that together we can make a difference in the lives of millions of Canadians.

We invite you to take the kindness pledge, purchase a kindness card or become a member of Kind Canada.
